Jamie holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Studies from the University of California Santa Cruz with a focus on environmental policy and resource management. He went on to become a professor at UC Santa Cruz for 11 years, teaching environmental economics and sustainable design, and he also co-founded EcoShift Consulting and served in the Peace Corps in Panama.
